I’ve been busy working on my new little picture book – a collection of short poems that i’ve been scribbling and writing and re-writing overt the last couple of years (some actually date back over five years which is bonkers).
I’ve always wanted to do a little anthology ever since I read the Tim Burton book The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories .
AND I recently re-discovered an amazing book from my childhood when I was back at home called ’Theres an awful lot of weirdos in our neighbourhood.’ by Colin McNaughton. It’s described as ’A book of rather silly verse and pictures.’ which I really love. I remember loving it back then so maybe the idea has been floating around in my head for longer than I thought…

I've had a month of intense tree scribbling to finally get the proof out of my brain/laptop and into print (or Ebook if you're fancy).

On my way to my coffee meeting I thought I'd attempt to scribble all the people in my tube train down before they got off.
I was honoured to be asked to illustrate a dear friend's wedding invites. So I did, and they loved it and here it is.
Had a little drawing session with my niece, aged three and a half, earlier this month. She had a go on Photoshop and then decided to sit back and art direct instead - clearly a natural.

A bit about the band:
The Guilty Ones, after a fruitful studio sabbatical, are now ready to release their infectious new single 'Conquer The World' through Auditorius/BMG Chrysalis, home of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Frank Ocean, Tame Impala and Bruno Mars.
The Guilty Ones are being overseen and produced by the legendary Rupert Hine (Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner, Howard Jones, Underworld); co-produced by their guitarist Jo and Alex Beitzke (Ed Sheeran, Paul Weller, Foster The People, Jamiroquai) with the mastering being overlooked by Bob Ludwig's Protégé Adam Ayan (Madonna, The Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Incubus). Liv's vocals are recorded by Chris Kimsey (The Rolling Stones, INXS, Duran Duran and Elton John) at the historical Olympic Studios in London.
The single is taken from the forthcoming EP simply called 'Conquer The World EP'.
I was lucky enough to be part of a very lovely exhibition this week from AMMO magazine.
'The Poopdeck Project' consisted of around 50 illustrators from around the world to each create a single illustration. This would then form the artwork on a piratey based deck of cards.

Work has a started in piecing together the weekend's scribbles for the video, all starting to come together.
Storyboards are now all there - looks like we've got quite a bit to do.
With the prep doodles completed on Saturday, I made a start on the Brewdog bar beer mural this Sunday. Had to wait for the bar to get quiet enough to start (around half 9) but still managed to get 3 hours done.
